Describe the Department
Hub TCM department is part of Hub module. Hub TCM team is responsible for process and tool design for transportation, installation and service of components in Hub module. Its global team located in Chennai and Denmark.
Responsibilities
Develop transport/storage tools concepts/processes for new Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Hub components in collaboration with other WTG designers and value chain stakeholders
Implement and supervise the ECM process (Engineering change management)
Develop 3D-CAD design/models, 2D drawings and bill of materials based on design specifications
Define GPS/GD&T on drawings reflecting manufacturing standards
Ensure that market requirements and best practices are included in WTG design
Ensure cost-efficient design and usage of standard parts as well as manufacturing standards
Embed relevant design and production knowledge into CAD by defining master models (parametrical models) and design guidelines/ checklists
Standardization
Collection of improvement suggestions and best practice from a broad range of global stakeholders
Qualifications
BE/ME Within Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Aerospace or similar (+5 years relevant engineering experience)
9+ years of experience working with CAD development for production, supply chain, transport tools, handling of wind turbines or other large components in other industries
Experience with conducting feasibility studies on mechanical components/tools (CAD)
