Overall Purpose of The Job
To ensure all the vessels managed by V. Group and associated partners, have completed their annual Internal Audits with full compliance in line with VMS within the due dates and within prescribed budget in accordance with the various offices under V. Group. To ensure the quality of the audit reports prepared by QSE Auditors against the attendances onboard vessels managed by V. Group and associated partners and communicate the checked reports to respective office / HSEQ superintendent. To ensure the remote VDR Navigational audits are conducted across the Group vessels are reports are uploaded to shipsure.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
1. Planning, Managing and Monitoring Annual Internal Audits of vessels that are managed by V. Group and associated partners, that must be completed annually to the standards of VMS/ISM Code, VMS/ISPS, VMS/SSP, MLC 2006, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001.
2. Ensure the audit reports are fully in compliance with the requirements of VMS ; Review the audit reports should be done thoroughly to enhance the quality of the report before submission to fleet cell and entry in shipsure.
3. Ensure the audit reports are reviewed; entries made in shipsure and then submit the same to respective fleet cells and guiding QSE Admin and QSE Audit Coordinator accordingly.
4. Assist and guide QSE Audit Coordinator and QSE Admin in planning for the internal audits on respective vessels in preparing and maintaining relevant entries to weekly audit planner in accordance with their due dates and circulating the audit planner to all concerned parties on weekly basis.
5. Preparing and maintenance of monthly KPI Sheet in accordance with the income versus expenses incurred during the audit attendance, which then to be accumulated to Annual KPI sheet.
6. Quarterly, half yearly and annual review of QSE Audit Findings and Trend Analysis - Compiling the entire audit findings – management office wise; communicating the list of findings to respective management offices so as to allow the management offices to educate their managed vessels regarding those findings.
7. Review of QSE Audit Findings Trend Analysis - Compiling the entire audit findings – auditor wise; communicating the same to all the QSE Auditors in consultation with QSE Audit Manager, in order to enhance their view in finding the defects onboard.
8. Ownership of Remote VDR Navigational audits – Obtaining the VDR Data, documentation, communicating the same to Analyst for analysis, obtaining reports, review of reports, forwarding the reports to fleet cell, ensure the reports are in shared drive and shipsure.
Required Experience
Essential Thorough knowledge of Quality Management System and the requirements of the standards of QMS /ISM code, ISPS Code, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 and MLC 2006. Excellent communication (Oral & Written) skills Excellent Interpersonal skills with ability to engage and interact with people at all levels. Thorough awareness and good understanding of various cultural and diversity aspects to deal with all the auditors across the globe Excellent organizational and planning skills
Desirable: Good analytical skills Previous experience in similar roles.
