In 1990, then a young couple C V Devadas and Asha Devadas founded a small knitted garment export company, Expoknits International, in the city of Tirupur, south of India, with a humble capital. In 1991, the company made its first export to Europe. Over the years, the company expanded its customer base in the Scandinavian countries of Norway, Finland and Sweden. Today Expoknits International remains a household name to leading Scandinavian Fashion retailers being the largest Indian exporter of knitted garments to this region.
